About the Artist
Jordan Oakey (b 1996, Scranton, PA) lives and works in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. In 2020, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Scranton, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he concentrated on Studio Art, Art History, and Education Theory, studying techniques of the Old Masters. Jordan worked as a curatorial intern at the Everhart Museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania during the summers of 2018 and 2019, where he also co-taught children’s art workshops in the museum’s education department. Jordan coordinated and presented workshops for the Smurfit Arts Center at the University of Scranton from 2017-2020. Jordan is currently a MFA candidate at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, and is an avid gardener and hiker, endlessly inspired by botany, mythology, and ecology.
